Building Rep. trainings scheduled

Annual training sessions for AFT-WV building representatives are scheduled as following:

August 18th- Wood County (Hampton Inn,  Mineral Wells, 2:00-4:00 PM)

August 19th- Putnam, Kanawha , Lincoln and Fayette Counties  (AFT-WV office, 2:00-4:00 PM)

August 20th- Mason County (Career Center)

North Central ROAD DAWGS hit the highway again!

AFT-WV's beloved "Road Dawgs" once again sacrificed their time (and at these prices... very precious gasoline!)  to show support for their Wood County AFT brothers and sisters. The group, comprised of educators from north-central WV,  traveled to a rally of school employees, held Tuesday evening prior to the Wood County Board of Education meeting. The employees were protesting the Board's refusal to use Senate Bill 541 money for employee pay or benefit enchancement, which was the intent of the actual bill!  The show of support was a tremendous boost to Wood County AFT president Greg Merritt and the dozens of local members who planned and participated in the local rally.
